About Us

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.

Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

Are you a dedicated Registered Midwife looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and families? Nepean Hospital is seeking a compassionate and experienced Midwife to join our Women and Children’s Outpatient team, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic and supportive environment. This position on offer is a Temporary Part role up until March 2026.

In this rewarding outpatient role, you will support women throughout the continuum of pregnancy, postnatal care, and early parenting. You’ll collaborate with Obstetricians, Pediatricians, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and other Midwives to ensure holistic and culturally safe care for women, babies, and families.

If you possess excellent communication, assessment clinical skills and commitment to family-centered care and cultural sensitivity ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, we encourage you to join a passionate team that puts women, babies and families first.

If you're ready to make a real impact in outpatient maternity care, we want to hear from you.
