This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of Australia's largest health system by joining the statewide NSW Health Deployment program (NSWHDP).
We are looking for Registered Midwife to provide quality and contemporary woman centered, evidenced based midwifery care in accordance with the NMBA Midwife Standards for Practice and Code of Conduct for Midwives and to supervise and support the work of others as required.
Working on deployments ranging from 2 to 13 weeks, you will provide person-centred care, support short-term workforce needs, and enjoy the flexibility to work across a variety of healthcare settings while expanding your skills and experience. Rotating rosters, including night duty apply while on deployment.

Essential Requirements:
Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (Ahpra) as a Registered Midwife.
Current drivers’ licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional / remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position.
Targeted Questions:.
Provide examples of your experience and ability to practice as a midwife in the areas of antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation, and infant feeding care.
- Detail your ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Tell us about your recent clinical experience as a Registered Midwife. In your response include evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills.
