Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.

 

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Midwives to join our dynamic and supportive team at Hawkesbury District Hospital on a full time or part time permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across our Midwifery led Antenatal Clinics, Birthing Unit, Antenatal and Postnatal Ward and Midwifery at Home. This role will bring a broad and rewarding scope of midwifery practice working within a collaborative, woman centred model of care.

Hawkesbury Maternity is a Level Four Maternity Service, providing care for women birthing from 34 weeks gestation and supporting over 600 births annually. Our service is committed to delivering safe, high quality, evidence based care to women and their families in a welcoming and community focused environment.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife (division 1)
  2. Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in midwifery
  3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  4. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide woman centred care
  5. Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development
  7. Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements
