Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa). 

About the Role

Provide a comprehensive rehabilitation program to enable the durable recovery at work of employees following a workplace and non-workplace injury/illness.  Work with key stakeholders to support the rehabilitation of injured workers following their workplace injury, with our primary focus to assist the worker return to their pre-injury role where appropriate.  This includes developing, monitoring and reviewing of the Recovery at Work Plan.
 
Provide education, support and advice to managers to ensure they are proactive participants in supporting the rehabilitation of their workers. This role actively promotes and participates in patient safety and ongoing quality improvement programs and engages in practices that promote the best possible health outcomes for patients/clients, and supports a culture of patient safety, clinical quality and innovation.
 
About You
 
You will need tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent work experience along with demonstrated experience in applying the NSW Workers' Compensation legislation and SIRA guidelines in claims management and rehabilitation/recovery at work processes.  You will need to have effective communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with the ability to influence and negotiate collaboration of key stakeholders with conflicting priorities and objectives. 
 
Do you have demonstrated proficiency in time management, organisational skills and analytical approach to problem solving with accuracy and attention to detail with ability to meet predetermined targets and deadline.
