Remuneration: $109,857 – $129,624 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing
The Public Health Epidemiologist is responsible for providing high-level technical expertise and support to the Public Health Unit and LHD facilities to achieve identified outcomes.
The position also contributes directly to the day-to-day teamwork within the unit, especially in response to communicable diseases. The position will also support the operational work of the PHU in regards to outbreak investigation and control, epidemiology, emergency management and operational research under the direction of the Director - Public Health.

Selection Criteria:
Masters of Public Health/or equivalent degree or equivalent experience with some experience of working in public health.
Demonstrated understanding of the emergency management system in Australia.
Demonstrated experience of working in a data analyst or similar role, with primary responsibility for delivering key reports on a routine basis.
Strong skills and experience in working independently with databases, statistical, and other software programs for the capture, analysis, and presentation of data.
Demonstrated knowledge of epidemiological methods relevant to the investigation and control of communicable diseases and environmental health issues.
Experience and understanding of communicable disease control methods, surveillance and/or research.
Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, often with competing priorities and different cultural backgrounds.
NSW Class C driver’s license and willingness to use for work purposes.
