Project and Change Manager (AI project focus)

We are looking for someone who can:

·        Oversee and strategically lead the end-to-end project management of priority statewide health projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget. (AI focus)

·        Develop, lead or facilitate the delivery of implementation strategies, and change adoption plan to embed sustainable health service improvements, mobilising people to undertake collaborative action for service transformation.

·        Provide expert advice on project and/or change management activities, design, governance, workflows, resourcing, scope, milestones and timelines, where appropriate integrating plans and schedules to ensure successful delivery of project/program milestones.

What you will be doing

The Program Accelerator team ensures that priority and complex projects are set up for success by setting a consistent method and standards for managing projects and change. Reporting into the Executive Director, Clinical Engagement and Operational Programs the Program Accelerator team may lead or contribute expertise to the design and delivery of priority projects and ensure alignment to the Agency for Clinical Innovation's strategic goals and objectives.

The role will oversee and strategically lead program, project and change management across all stages of the project cycle, driving high-level buy in and adoption to successfully deliver healthcare improvement initiatives, in hospitals and clinical settings across NSW Health.

As a Project and Change Manager, you will foster innovation and collaborate with diverse stakeholders including but not limited to ACI Networks, health managers, clinicians, partners and consumers to identify opportunities for improvement and provide expert advice and guidance on initiatives that enhance health service delivery. In addition, the role will be required to lead and manage staff within the team.

Success in the role requires adaptability, expertise in project and change management methodologies, and the ability to tailor these approaches for optimal impact, whilst managing multiple projects at the same time.


Employment details

Employment Type: Full Time Exempt (up to June 2027)
Position Classification: Health Manager Level 4
Remuneration: $141,974.00 - $169,151.00 per annum excluding Superannuation
Hours Per Week: 40 (38 standard + 2hrs toward ADO)

Selection Criteria

1.     Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant health management experience, including project or change management qualification. e.g. Agile / Prince 2 or similar.

2.     Demonstrated experience in using and adapting project management methodologies to deliver projects integrating or deploying the use of AI into a health setting

3.     Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying change management and adoption methodologies, and a proven track record in delivering statewide health and/or local change projects.

4.     Demonstrated knowledge of the health system with proven ability to manage strategic projects including the use of Artificial intelligence in the health system. This includes capability to initiate major project activities to build awareness among program teams and key stakeholders, improve program understanding and promote organisational goals, values and objectives
