Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a Post Graduate Fellow to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.


We are looking for a Post Graduate Fellow in Robotics Research (Urology) ! The primary purpose of the role of the Post Graduate Fellow in Robotics Research (Urology) is to develop subspecialty interests in Urological Robotics with a focus on Robotics Research, and to further develop core clinical and research skills in this area. This role will be based at the Institute of Academic Surgery on the RPAH campus, and will be expected to work across RPAH and CRGH.
 
The Post Graduate Fellow in Robotics Research (Urology) will have completed advanced training to become a specialist medical practitioner in Urology. They will undertake advanced robotic surgery training (subject to outcomes of SLHD robotics procedures credentialing) and will act under the supervision of the admitting medical officer, with a level of delegation set as appropriate to the stage of professional development that has been reached by the Fellow.
 
 
The Post Graduate Fellow will provide high quality clinical care and research activities at the level of a Post Graduate Fellow, participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Institute of Academic Surgery, and RPA and CRGH Hospitals as required. They will ensure high standards of professional performance and contribute to an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.

The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with recognised qualifications in Urology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award. (Note: Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship prior to, or within three months of the expected commencement date, may be considered.)

  

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
