Temporary Full-Time Podiatrist – High Risk Foot Service
Sutherland Hospital | 14-Week Contract
Sutherland Hospital is seeking a motivated Podiatrist to join our High Risk Foot Service (HRFS) on a full-time, 14-week temporary contract, with the potential to continue in a part-time capacity beyond the initial term.
This role offers a structured and supported opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills in high-risk foot care, including total contact casting (TCC) and complex wound management within a well-established multidisciplinary service.
You will work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team including Podiatrists, Vascular Surgery, Orthopaedics, Rehabilitation, and Orthotists providing care across outpatient, inpatient, and community-linked settings.

- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated core competency skills in wound care, diabetes, biomechanics, partial and total nail avulsion surgery, general podiatry assessment and management and foot care education.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience
- Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning
