Join the Pharmacy team at Westmead Hospital, part of Western Sydney Local Health District, where you will contribute to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care across a dynamic hospital environment. You will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals and support patients across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.

What you'll be doing 
As a Rotational Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services that promote safe, effective and patient-centred medication use. You will apply your clinical knowledge while supporting pharmacy operations across Westmead Hospital and other WSLHD facilities when required.

·       Deliver clinical pharmacy services, medication management and accurate medicine information to patients and healthcare teams

·       Ensure the safe preparation, supply and distribution of medications in line with legislation and hospital policies

·       Support and supervise pharmacy technicians, students and other pharmacy staff as required

·       Prepare non-sterile pharmaceutical products according to approved formulations and standards

·       Participate in quality assurance activities, performance initiatives and ongoing professional development

Essential Criteria:

·       Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g Bachelor of Pharmacy 

·       Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA 

 

Selection Criteria: 

1.     Demonstrated excellent communication skills

2.     Demonstrated good therapeutic knowledge

3.     Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and have good time management skills

4.     Demonstrated ability to work independently without supervision when required

5.     Willing and able to participate in all aspects of sterile (including cytotoxic drugs) manufacturing

6.     Willing and able to work overtime and weekends and on call as per departmental rosters
