About the role - Registered Nurse
Perioperative nurses work collaboratively as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team and may be rostered across all areas as required. Nurses who are new to specific specialty areas are fully supported, with comprehensive education and training provided. A full-time Clinical Nurse Educator is available to guide and assist with professional development and skill acquisition.

Surgical Specialties:
Theatre One: Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology
Theatre Two: General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Emergency Surgery
Theatre Three: Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Urology, Emergency Surgery
Theatre Four (Endoscopy): All endoscopic procedures
Education and professional development are supported through HETI programs, in-service education delivered by industry representatives, and ongoing training from the Clinical Nurse Educator and medical consultants.

Requirements:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

- Demonstrated experience of at least two years within a perioperative environment is highly desirable, including proficiency as an Instrument Nurse, Circulating Nurse, Anaesthetic Nurse, or experience within a critical care nursing setting. Strong time-management skills, coupled with initiative, professionalism, and punctuality, are highly regarded. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative and respectful team environment and show a genuine commitment to ongoing professional development and the acquisition of new clinical skills.
- A sound understanding of ACCORN standards, AS/NZS 4187 reprocessing standards, GENCA guidelines, and infection prevention and control principles is required. GENCA training is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work eight-hour shifts, with participation in an on-call roster during weekdays as well as on weekends.

All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions.
