As a Pathology Courier, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the fast and secure transport of vital samples and supplies, directly impacting patient care across New South Wales.
NSW Health Pathology is looking for a highly organised, reliable, and efficient Motor Vehicle Driver to join the Courier Team at the Central Specimen Reception Department, Westmead Hospital – ICPMR.
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely transport of pathology samples, equipment, results, and related items across Westmead, Auburn, Blacktown, Mt Druitt, Nepean, and surrounding Sydney Metro areas. Operating within a 24/7 service, your work will be essential to maintaining a consistent and high-quality pathology transport network between laboratories, hospitals, clinics, and collection centres.

What you'll be doing
Provide an efficient, consistent and reliable pathology sample transport service which also transports collection equipment, results and other items as required to and from NSWHP laboratories, collection centres, clinics and hospitals.

- A level of fitness appropriate to courier duties: walk long distances and lift, carry and move items of up to 10 kgs over an eight hour shift
- Ability to be flexible and participate in a 24 hour / 7 day roster
- Current unencumbered Class C NSW drivers license with exemplary driving record. (Recent RTA infringement record print out required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver efficient and effective services
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated excellent time management skills with the ability to maintain high quality work output while managing competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and within a team and to promote teamwork as a basis for improvement.
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotating shift roster with no restrictions. This includes weekends, public holidays and night shift.
