This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovative workforce reform by leading key projects to explore the future role of paramedics across NSW Health in integrated multidisciplinary workforce models outside of NSW Ambulance Services. The role will undertake work to research, scope, design, deliver and evaluate workforce pilots and projects and determine evidence based methodology to adapt and scale successful roles and models across the NSW Health system. The Paramedic Workforce Project Manager will work as part of a multidisciplinary team under the leadership of the Director, Health Professional Workforce and in partnership with key stakeholders including NSW Ambulance, the Agency for Clinical Innovation, Local Health Districts, Workplace Relations and other key Ministry of Health Branches and Pillar organisations.

 

Health Manager level 4, starting salary from $147,653 - $175,917 plus Super, with a 38-hour work week.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, manage and support new workforce model development and pilots, clinician engagement and management.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Provide sound information and advice to senior executives and key staff within the Ministry, Local Health Districts/Specialty Networks, Pillars and other related government agencies.
  • Prepare high quality written reports, briefs and correspondence to inform or respond to agency or Government requests.



About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  • A high degree of passion and emotional intelligence with an ability to engage with expert clinicians across a range of disciplines to explore and design innovative models of care.

  • Demonstrated understanding of current state and emerging trends concerning the paramedicine profession at the state, national and international level.

  • Demonstrated experience influencing the paramedicine profession through education, research or systems of care development.

  • More than 5 years clinical practice experience as a paramedic in the public health system.

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in all aspects of project management (stakeholder engagement and management, planning, development, implementation, monitoring, risk and issue mitigation and evaluation).
