The P.A.R.T.Y. (Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth) program across the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to be be the lead for Education and Training. The position is 24hrs per week for 12 months.

Where you'll be working

 
The role includes the facilitation of the in-school component of the P.A.R.T.Y. (Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth) program across the Northern Sydney Local Health District. 

What you'll be doing
The position will be the lead for Education and Training. 
The role is intended to work collaboratively in the supporting the delivery of quality teaching and learning within the multidisciplinary workforce. 
The role includes the facilitation of the in school component of the P.A.R.T.Y. (Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth) program across the Northern Sydney Local Health District. 
In this role you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver simulation based education, real world case discussions and interactive anatomy and physiology sessions. 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Current Registration as a Registered Nurse Division ( with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post graduate experience in critical care nursing, and/or educational qualifications.
  2. Demonstrated advanced competence in the use of technology for communication and competence in the use of simulation based education sessions, and proficiency in computer applications.
  3. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage sensitively with diverse audience.
  4. Demonstrated advanced interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team with a variety of multidisciplinary stakeholders. Have a high level of organisational skills with the ability to mange ad deliver in school program.
  5. Sound theoretical knowledge and demonstrated experience in utilising a range of teaching and learning strategies to support student development.
