Where you'll be working

Ophthalmology Clinic, Ambulatory Care Centre, Royal North Shore Hospital

What you'll be doing
Provides primary assessment of ophthalmology patients including pre and post-operative care, visual acuity, measurement of eye pressures, Autorefraction, Pachymetry, assessment of ocular motility, OCT, Visual Field, inpatient consultations, and IOL Master scanning and A Scanning.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. BappSC (Orthoptics) or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in a hospital or health care environment.
  2. Excellent team skills by working effectively in a busy multidisciplinary team environment, with an emphasis on the customer.
  3. Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation with flexible work attitude and ability to adapt to change.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure by undertaking different tasks as assigned.
