Where you'll be working
Ophthalmology Clinic, Ambulatory Care Centre, Royal North Shore Hospital
What you'll be doing
Provides primary assessment of ophthalmology patients including pre and post-operative care, visual acuity, measurement of eye pressures, Autorefraction, Pachymetry, assessment of ocular motility, OCT, Visual Field, inpatient consultations, and IOL Master scanning and A Scanning.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- BappSC (Orthoptics) or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in a hospital or health care environment.
- Excellent team skills by working effectively in a busy multidisciplinary team environment, with an emphasis on the customer.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation with flexible work attitude and ability to adapt to change.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure by undertaking different tasks as assigned.
