About the Role
Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH) has been serving the local community since 1904. The Hospital is a centre of excellence and throughout its history has been a key driver in shaping oral health and dental care in Australia.
To ensure a high standard of oral health care to patients of the Paediatric Department by providing a professional level of service to patients, and by exercising clinical expertise and judgement commensurate with scope of practice of an experienced Oral Health Therapist Level 1/2.

Ideal Candidate
- Registration as a Dental Therapist or Oral Health Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated confidence, expertise and broad general knowledge within the discipline commensurate with the number of years of experience.
- Demonstrated excellent ability to work as part of an effective clinical team.
- Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage patients and families from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as frail, dependent and medically complex backgrounds.
- Demonstrate ability and interest in working with a wide variety of child and adult patients.
- Interest in the principles of public sector dentistry.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) with an ability and willingness to travel occasionally with the Sydney LHD for work purposes.
- All candidates must have full working rights within Australia.
