Remuneration: $37.03 - $52.83 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

Mount Druitt Hospital Dental Clinic is part of the Western Sydney Local Health District and has proudly served its community for over 50 years. Located just a 10-minute walk from Mt Druitt train station and Westfield, the hospital is easily accessible and offers a range of parking options. The Dental Clinic provides high-quality care for both adults and children, including prosthetic services.

What you'll be doing
As an Oral Health Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in delivering general oral health care and education to eligible patients in a variety of settings – from mobile dental vans to schools, aged care facilities, and fixed clinics. You’ll be part of a team that’s committed to improving community health outcomes through prevention, education, and treatment.
Provide high-quality oral health care and education to diverse patient groups
Deliver services in mobile and portable settings across the district
Promote oral health through community engagement and education
Collaborate with clinicians and support staff to ensure holistic care
Maintain best practices in infection control, documentation, and patient safety

Essential Requirements:
Registration: Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as an Oral Health Therapist, dual trained Dental Therapist and Dental Hygienist or singularly trained Dental Therapist.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated sound clinical and diagnostic skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including the general public.
A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventative / population health approach to patient care.
A demonstrated ability to work within a large multidisciplinary team and independently.
Be able to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including fellow health care workers and the general public.
A demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
Hold a current Class C Licence and willing to take shared responsibility for safe driving of various fleet vehicles between locations in Western Sydney and back to the base location. This may include occasional operation of a 4.5 tonne Mobile Dental Van (Class C licence compatible)
