Remuneration: $35.38 - $36.95 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting safe surgical and anaesthetic care by ensuring equipment and instrumentation are prepared, sterilised and available when needed.
In this role you will be required to:
Prepare sterile instruments and consumables for routine and emergency theatre cases.
Clean, assemble, disinfect and sterilise reusable medical and anaesthetic equipment.
Maintain stock levels and support efficient supply management within the Operating Suite.
Assist with the processing of scopes, breathing systems and specialty equipment.
Work in line with Australian Standards, infection control guidelines and WH&S requirements.

Essential Criteria:
Qualification: Sterilisation Services Certificate III
Selection Criteria:
Certificate in Sterilizing Services, and experience in working in a Hospital Sterilizing Services Department.
Sound understanding and knowledge of Infection Control requirements, standards AS/NZS4187 and ISO in a health care setting.
Effective interpersonal/communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with workers and clients.
Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and busy environment with changing priorities and work demands, using initiative
Knowledge and understanding of WH&S legislation and manual handling techniques to maintain safety within the workplace.
