What you'll be doing
The main purpose of position (but not limited to) is to work on central intake phone line and conduct patient registrations using iPM and eMR (CHOC). The Administrative Officer Level 3 will provide timely and accurate administrative / transactional services for members of the Child & Family Health team under the direction of the Nursing Unit Manager. The Administrative Officer Level 3 will work under broad supervision but will be required to take some independent action. Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures. Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the department remains the responsibility of the C&FH Nursing Unit Manager.

- Extensive experience working as a level 3 Admin assistant within Health or similar providing an effective secretarial service for a busy department
- Ability to use IT systems including iPM, eMR, outlook, word and excel
- Well-developed organisational skills required to set priorities and monitor workflow
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and other work skills required for a range of operational administrative tasks
- Proven ability to exercise initiative in decision making in day to day operational matters and applying established work practices
- Ability to perform work under broad supervision with some independence
- Capacity to supervise or train other clerical staff
