About the role


Lachlan Health service Occupational Therapy department provides generalist Occupational Therapy services to the communities of Parkes and Forbes NSW. The successful applicant will be working at Parkes Campus site.

Working Days and hours are flexible to suit individual circumstances.

The Occupational Therapy department provides services to the inpatient units, as well as community adult and paediatric caseloads. There is opportunity to develop skills in other areas if desired.

This role is primarily working in the community setting completing home visits. The community OT completes functional assessments and makes recommendations for equipment or modifications to enable clients to improve their safety and independence. There may be opportunity to also work within other caseloads within the department including paediatrics and the inpatient (sub-acute) setting.

Parkes hospital was newly built in 2015 making it a modern contemporary facility. The Occupational Therapy team is supported by a clinical department OT senior, and you will be working within in a friendly small team environment and a larger friendly community health environment.
