What you'll be doing 
In this leadership role, you will coordinate and manage the delivery of the NSW School Vaccination Program, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality immunisation services across Western Sydney.

·       Coordinate and oversee school vaccination clinics across all high schools in the district

·       Lead, supervise and support nursing staff, including rostering, performance management and professional development

·       Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, cold chain management and clinical governance requirements

·       Liaise with schools, health disciplines and external agencies to support effective clinic delivery

·       Contribute to public health initiatives, including high-risk and targeted vaccination programs

Essential Criteria:

·       Registration in line with Award requirements: Current Registration as a Registered Nurses with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 

 

Selection Criteria: 

1.     Authorisation as a Nurse Immuniser including demonstrated knowledge of current immunisation policy and practice with recent clinical experience in the NSW School Vaccination Program.

2.     Demonstrated ability in staff rostering and school clinic bookings.

3.     Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the public, Health Professionals, Schools and other stakeholders external to the Public Health Unit.

4.     Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership or management, with a commitment to professional development.

5.     Effective interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate the ability to engage, enable and manage teams.

6.     Demonstrated ability to motivate staff and build a cohesive team with excellent communication, negotiation, liaison, interpersonal and problem solving skills.

7.     Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in procedure development.

8.     NSW Class C Drivers license and willingness to use for work purposes.
