We are seeking a motivated and experienced nursing leader who is passionate about supporting teams and delivering exceptional care. 

  • Proven leadership experience or readiness to step into a NUM Level 2 role. 
  • Strong clinical background with the ability to manage a complex and fast-paced ward. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach. 
  • Commitment to staff development, education, and fostering a positive team culture. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, problem-solve effectively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
  • Describe a time where you led a nursing team in a complex clinical environment. How did you manage staffing, resources, and service delivery to ensure safe, high-quality, and culturally responsive patient care?
  • Provide an example of how you have used critical thinking and effective communication to manage a challenging situation involving patient care, staff performance, or conflict. How did you contribute to risk management, quality improvement, or improved outcomes?
