About the Role
You will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
The Nursing Unit Manager role is responsible for the operational management and leadership of nursing/staff to ensure the provision of high quality patient and family centred care and nursing and or midwifery excellence at unit/ward level. The Nursing Unit Manager Level 3 responsibilities in relation to patient services, ward or unit management and staff management are in excess of those of a Nursing Unit Manager Level 2.
This position has set roster days of Wednesday and Friday. Experience in Intensive Care Nursing, and nursing leadership and management required.

Ideal Candidate
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Clinical management and leadership experience in a tertiary/district health care facility.
- Experience in rostering; managing skill mix and care delivery models according to patient/service need.
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills and experience in conflict resolution.
