About the role:

As the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) Level 2 for the Critical Care Area, you will provide strong operational and professional leadership across a diverse and complex service encompassing Intensive Care, High Dependency, and Coronary Care patients. You will be accountable for the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care, guiding a skilled and dedicated team within a fast-paced, high-acuity critical care environment.

This role is ideally suited to a leader who truly understands the rhythm, demands, and precision of critical care. Working alongside highly experienced clinicians and supportive senior leaders, you will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating care and patient flow through the Critical Care Unit, working closely with the Patient Access Manager to ensure seamless transitions, including inter-facility transfers both within the Local Health District and across NSW Health.

As NUM, you will partner closely with the Clinical Nurse Educator and members of the executive team to ensure the delivery of exceptional care—both now and into the future. This position offers the rare benefit of Monday to Friday day shifts, supporting a healthy work–life balance while allowing you to enjoy all that the stunning Manning Valley and Barrington Coast have to offer. You will join a passionate multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and rewarding clinical environment.

You will be well supported from the outset, with supernumerary time on commencement and a comprehensive orientation to all aspects of the role. Ongoing professional development, education, and leadership support are integral to this position, with close collaboration with the Director and Deputy Director of Nursing to help you thrive and succeed.
