Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa). 

What you'll be doing
To provide an advance standard of women’s health nursing care to patients in accordance with best evidence-based practice and within scope of practice.  

To maximize outcomes by engaging in complex and critical thinking; integrating information and evidence; judicious use of clinical investigations and treatment options.  

To provide expert guidance and support to the team and to engage in practice as guided by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Nurse Practitioner Standards Framework.   

About You
You are an experienced and highly capable Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and advanced clinical expertise in women’s health. Supported by extensive post-registration experience and relevant postgraduate qualifications, you deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care with a strong focus on improving health outcomes for women, gender-diverse people, and their partners across a range of reproductive and sexual health needs.

You are skilled in advanced assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex presentations, including menopause, contraception, pregnancy choice, and broader sexual and reproductive health concerns. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you apply sound clinical judgement and contemporary best practice to provide safe, compassionate, and individualised care that recognises the unique needs of each person.

A respected leader and educator, you are passionate about supporting the growth and development of colleagues through mentoring, clinical guidance, and the use of effective teaching and learning strategies. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills enable you to build trusting relationships with consumers, multidisciplinary teams, and community stakeholders while fostering a collaborative approach to healthcare delivery.

Committed to excellence in practice, you actively incorporate current research and evidence into clinical decision-making and service development. You bring a holistic understanding of health that recognises the social, cultural, and environmental factors influencing wellbeing, particularly when working with priority populations. Adaptable, compassionate, and outcome-focused, you are dedicated to advancing women's health services and are willing to travel across the District to ensure equitable access to high-quality care.
