Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. Take the lead in coordinating patient flow across Nepean Hospital as a Patient Flow Unit Bed Manager, providing operational direction to support the safe, timely and effective movement of patients throughout the facility.
Working closely with nursing leadership, facility management and the broader Patient Flow Unit, you’ll help balance bed capacity, patient demand and hospital resources while contributing to strategic patient flow priorities.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse Division 1).
- Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience with a demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrated experience in bed management or patient flow in an acute care setting.
- Computer literacy and demonstrated experience and knowledge in relevant hospital computer programs and key performance indicators.
- Demonstrated broad clinical experience in a tertiary facility.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational and professional outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously or as part of a multidisciplinary management team and ability to interpret data and seek information.
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
