About the role
A unique opportunity to join a highly skills small team of Nuclear Medicine Technologists working within a rural cancer centre and radiation oncology department. The PET clinical service includes FDG PET and PSMA scanning will commencing July 2026.

If you have the ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with the skill to problem solve and adapt as required, you will enjoy this role.

Rewarding workplace where you will be providing access to PET-CT for rural patients who had previously had to travel vast distances. 

A typical workday would begin with performing checks and QC of Hot Lab and the scanner followed by patient safety huddle in preparation for the day. Explaining procedures to patients and obtaining clinical histories that you will provide to the reporting physician located off site. Injecting and scanning PET patients on a Biograph MCT, performing reconstructions and reviewing images in consultation with the reporting physician. Ordering doses and retrieving relevant images for the following days scanning.

You will be working closely with other NMTs, administrative staff and nursing alongside the Deputy Chief Radiation Therapist and other Radiation Therapists and staff within the Cancer Centre.
