What You'll be DoingThe Podiatrist working in SWSLHD is responsible for providing patient centered care for people presenting with “at risk” and “high risk” foot pathologies. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide Podiatric care as part of a multidisciplinary high risk foot team and in a sub-acute step down service. The Podiatrist is also responsible for participation in quality improvement activities, clinical supervision, professional development and completing required administrative tasks.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.
The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities.

- Current general Podiatry registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team managing complex case loads.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy and time management.
- Involvement in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and commitment to evidence based practice.
- Clinical knowledge, skills and experience in high-risk foot pathologies.
