Where you'll be working
Based in a central location at our new office in William Street Wooloomooloo you will be part of the Equity and Prevention Service. Our team has expertise in community engagement, health promotion and preventative healthcare, women’s health, and strategies to reduce health inequities experienced by many groups in our community. We have identified Aboriginal health staff and bilingual staff. We work across the lifespan with a focus on children and their families and older adults.
Population and Community Health (PaCH) is part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
PaCH provides community health services that give care to individuals, families and carers, as well as population health services that focus on the whole community or key groups within the community.
PaCH's services are provided at the District's hospitals, community-based facilities including child and family health centres, community health centres and specialist clinics. We work with other service providers across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, including hospitals and mental health services.

What you'll be doing
The Manager, Priority Populations Programs will work as part of a management team across the Equity and Prevention Service to address the health needs of Priority Populations. The role provides high level strategic advice in relation to Priority Populations Programs and the provision of equitable health and wellbeing outcomes. The role provides management of Women’s and Youth Health Clinical Services and Women’s, Carers and Youth Health programs and projects, conducted in partnership with key stakeholders.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or related discipline or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead change.
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary issues for priority populations.
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills with a strong customer service approach.
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and evaluation at strategic and service levels within a high-volume dynamic work environment.
- Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
