With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we're enriching health, and develop your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.

Achieve Something Great
Join South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) and play a key role in strengthening how workforce services are delivered across a large and complex health organisation. This is an opportunity to contribute to safer, more efficient and consistent workforce outcomes by supporting managers and staff through practical, system‑based solutions that enhance compliance, service quality and the employee experience.

In this role you will:

  • Lead establishment, rostering systems support, workforce compliance and Workers Compensation processes, ensuring accurate, consistent and policy‑aligned service delivery across SWSLHD.
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes, workflows and systems to reduce errors, rework and delays, supporting more effective and sustainable service delivery.
  • Analyse workforce systems data to identify trends and issues, strengthen system integrity, and develop tools, training and guidance that support managers and staff to apply workforce systems, policies and procedures consistently and effectively.
  • Work closely with managers, People & Culture teams, HealthShare NSW and key stakeholders to resolve issues, improve processes and support coordinated service delivery.
  • Support and guide the workforce transactional teams through periods of change and transition, maintaining service continuity while embedding improved practices, systems and ways of working.

Are You the Right Fit?
You are a highly organised and detail‑focused professional, confident working in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy and timeliness are critical. You build strong, trusted relationships and communicate effectively, providing clear and practical advice on workforce systems, policies and awards.

You bring experience across workforce systems, rostering, compliance, Workers Compensation or broader People & Culture functions, with a strong understanding of system integrity and consistency. You are analytically minded, using data to identify issues, inform decisions and support improvements. You are confident using Microsoft 365 tools, workforce reporting, data visualisation and automation, to enable more efficient ways of working.
With a continuous improvement mindset, you actively contribute to process enhancements and support and guide teams through change and transition, helping maintain service continuity while embedding improved practices and ways of working. You remain calm under pressure, manage competing priorities effectively, and contribute to a respectful, collaborative and outcomes‑focused team environment.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

  • Outline a specific time you personally supported your team through a period of significant change while managing a busy workload and improvement initiatives. Include your approach, how you engaged stakeholders, and how you managed unexpected challenges.
  • Outline how you worked through a complex policy, award or system issue and translated it into clear guidance, a practical solution or strategy, what made it challenging, and what was the impact of your approach on the organisation or the team.
