Maintenance Officer – Keep Our Rural Health Facility Safe and Running Smoothly

At (Site) our Maintenance Officers play a critical role in supporting patient care by ensuring all facilities and equipment are well-maintained and operational. Join our team and help provide a safe, functional space for staff and the community.

What you'll be doing
Supervises and maintains buildings, grounds, plant and equipment to ensure well-presented, safe and compliant facilities for provision of quality patient, client and consumer care.

Selection Criteria

  1. Current NSW Trade Certificate, preferably in electrical or mechanical environment.
  2. Demonstrated current experience in a similar position and/ or environment.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of general operation, performance and preventative maintenance procedures for buildings, plant and equipment.
  4. Knowledge of and ability to apply current standards and guidelines in health care settings.
  5. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills including the ability to assist trade staff and contractors and work effectively as part of a team to achieve common organisational goals.
  6. Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills necessary to work with limited supervision to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines
  8. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
