About the Opportunity
NSW Health Pathology is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor (Tradesperson) to join our Facilities Management team on the Forensic & Analytical Science Service (FASS) campus at Lidcombe. This hands-on role is ideal for a trade-qualified professional with handyman skills who thrives on ensuring the safety, functionality, and compliance of critical infrastructure and equipment in a highly regulated environment.

What you'll be doing
The Maintenance Supervisor, Forensic & Analytical Science Service (FASS) is a hands-on, independent role suited to a trade-qualified professional responsible for performing and coordinating maintenance tasks across Forensic & Analytical Science facilities. The role’s primary responsibility as part of Facilities Management, is to ensure the safety, functionality, and compliance of building infrastructure and equipment on the FASS Lidcombe campus.

  1. Current Trade Certificate in electrical, plumbing, carpentry or similar.
  2. Demonstrated experience in delivering facilities maintenance services within healthcare, government, or similarly regulated environments
  3. Demonstrated sound understanding and application of relevant legislation, policies, and professional standards in the areas of Facilities Management and work health and safety principles and guidelines.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of business concepts and basic computer literacy skills, including use of maintenance systems and documentation tools
  5. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  7. Demonstrated experience in coordinating and overseeing contractors or service providers, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
  8. Current NSW Drivers License and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes
