Join HNELHD’s Infrastructure, Planning & Sustainability team and play a critical role in ensuring our hospitals and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is your opportunity to combine planning, systems, and asset management expertise to directly support frontline healthcare delivery.

About the role:
As a Maintenance Planner, you will provide strategic planning and operational support to the Facilities Management Unit, ensuring asset management systems and maintenance programs run effectively across the district.

You’ll be at the centre of coordinating preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance for buildings, plant, equipment, and medical devices - helping ensure compliance, performance, and safety across HNELHD facilities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinating and optimising maintenance activities across AFM Online (IBM Tririga)
  • Supporting statutory and non-statutory preventative maintenance scheduling and compliance
  • Monitoring, auditing, and improving asset management systems and processes
  • Managing contractor documentation and ensuring compliance with NSW Health policies
  • Supporting procurement activities, including sourcing parts and services
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on systems and processes
  • Assisting with asset data, spatial updates, and system integration from external platforms
  • Contributing to risk assessments, policy reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assisting with resolution of corrective maintenance tasks as required

You bring a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a commitment to improving systems and processes that support essential services.

What you'll bring:

  • Qualifications or experience in asset management, engineering, facilities, or a related field
  • Experience working with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Strong understanding (or ability to learn) of building codes and standards for health facility assets
  • Proven ability to develop KPIs and monitor performance
  • Experience working with policies, procedures, contracts, and service agreements
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills



Requirements:

  • WHS General Induction (White Card)
  • Current NSW Driver Licence
