The Pharmaceutical Operations team within the Ministry of Health is seeking an organised and diligent administrative professional to join our high performing team as a Licensing Support Officer.

In this role, you will provide high quality administrative and operational support to the Licensing Officer to ensure licensing processes for medicines, poisons and therapeutic goods are effectively managed. You will support the accurate administration of licence holder records and contribute to regulatory activities that underpin patient safety and clinical quality outcomes for the NSW community.

Crown Clerk 3/4, starting salary from $84,659 - $92,701 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing

  • Prioritise and process applications to license the wholesale supply of substances for therapeutic use in humans or animals, retailers and suppliers of drugs of addiction, and private health facilities.
  • Create, maintain and update records and files to ensure accurate and complete licensing information is maintained.
  • Support the preparation of reports, correspondence and briefs for internal and external stakeholders.


About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  • Demonstrated capability in using a range of systems and platforms, including government databases and Microsoft Office applications, to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Strong communication, guidance and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing high quality customer service and working collaboratively in a team environment, while meeting competing deadlines.
  • Experience in an administrative or regulatory support role, along with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving, will be highly regarded.
