Role Title: Legal Officer (REQ637299)

•    Employment type: Full-time, up to 30 June 2026 
•    35 hour working week, in a hybrid working environment

About this role

This role primarily involves providing advice and legal support to the Pharmacy Council of NSW, which manages the Pharmacy Ownership regulatory framework in NSW under Schedule 5F of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (NSW).  

In undertaking this role, there may be opportunities to provide advice and legal support to the 15 health professional councils in their work regulating registered health practitioners in NSW.


Legal Officer I - III, salary from $ 79,322 - $ 134,458 plus super and leave loading

The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is an executive agency of the NSW Ministry of Health.  We play an important role in protecting the health and safety of the public by supporting the 15 NSW Health Professional Councils in managing complaints about NSW health practitioners.

The position is based at the HPCA Pitt Street offices, located only a short walking distance from Central Station and Belmore Park. There are a number of facilities located within the building, including a food court, a rooftop garden, yoga and Pilates sessions, end of trip amenities, including bike storage.
