About this role

This role supports the Costing Transformation Program within the Ministry of Health, delivering statewide improvements in clinical costing through data integration, automation, and system enablement.
Working closely with the Costing team, eHealth NSW, and Local Health Districts (LHDs) / Specialty Health Networks this role will support the development of end-to-end service data feeds between source systems, the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL), and the statewide costing platform.
Health Manager Level 4, with a salary range of $147,653 – $175,917 p.a. plus superannuation, based on a 38-hour work week.
What you’ll be doing
- Design and support implementation of data integration and automation solutions for clinical costing
- Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines between source systems, EDL, and PPM3
- Work with stakeholders to understand costing data requirements and data flows
- Support ingestion, transformation, and validation of service-level activity data
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, consistency, and efficiency
- Collaborate with eHealth NSW, Costing teams, and LHDs/SHNs to deliver scalable solutions
About you
We are seeking a motivated and capable individual who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
- Strong experience in data integration, ETL processes, or data engineering
- A solid understanding of the end-to-end NSW Health costing process, including DNR and the use of PPM3
- Strong experience with General Ledger (GL) data, including treatment and alignment of revenue and expense for costing purposes
- Demonstrated understanding of costing data automation and data flows
- Good awareness of the NSW Health Data Strategy and its alignment with broader data and analytics initiatives
- Work experience with Enterprise Data Lake and data integration
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
