About the Role
As Health Service Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Walcha Hospital’s clinical and support services, ensuring safe, high-quality and sustainable healthcare delivery.
You will:
- Lead the planning, coordination and performance of clinical and operational services
- Develop creative and practical service solutions within a small resource environment
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, visiting services and external providers
- Work closely with the local community to ensure services reflect local health needs
- Provide confident leadership during high-pressure and complex service demands
- Participate in clinical shifts as part of safe and responsive service delivery
- Apply systems thinking to support long-term service sustainability and improvement
- Champion culturally safe, inclusive and patient-centred care

About You
You are a driven and adaptable leader who enjoys working autonomously and tackling challenges with confidence and initiative.
You will demonstrate:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, management or working towards
Proven experience leading health services and managing operational performance
Strong problem-solving capability and comfort working within limited resources
Strategic and systems-based thinking with the ability to deliver practical outcomes
Confidence navigating complexity, service pressures and change
A proactive, solutions-focused and results-oriented leadership style
Commitment to collaborative, respectful and culturally safe healthcare delivery
