About the Opportunity

  • Provide StEPS screening in Broken Hill and districts for 4 year olds 
  • Support the first 2,000 days ministry implementation plan, including Brighter Beginnings
  • Provide Lead education and testing for children under 4 years

The Far West Local Health District is one of 15 LHDs under NSW Health, providing high quality public health services to the communities in far west NSW.   • Demonstrated Knowledge of STEPS program, Lead Program and Brighter Beginnings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of or experience in the development and implementation of health education & health promotion activities.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including experience in working with databases and computer software applications.
  • Experience working effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders both internal and external to an organisation.
  • Current license to drive in NSW.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children under 5 performing health screening.
