About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Health and Rehabilitation Advisor to join us in this critical role supporting staff recovery, wellbeing and safe return to work across Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD).

As the Health and Rehabilitation Advisor, you will:

  • Provide occupational rehabilitation services to MLHD staff, applying preventative, early intervention and recovery at work strategies
  • Support managers to create physically and psychologically safe workplaces
  • Build strong relationships with staff, treatment providers and claims managers to deliver positive return to work outcomes
  • Contribute to strategic planning and injury prevention initiatives across a large and diverse health district

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional registration in occupational rehabilitation, allied health or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in injury management, rehabilitation, and workers’ compensation case management
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across a large geographical area
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to overcoming barriers to recovery at work
  • Commitment to teamwork, continuous improvement, and supporting the health and wellbeing of staff
