Where you'll be working
SESLHD is one of the largest local health districts in Sydney, covering a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney’s central business district, the beaches from Bondi to Cronulla and down to the Royal National Park. We deliver health care to around 930,000 residents across the local government areas of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick, Bayside, Georges River and the Sutherland Shire. We also provide a key role in helping residents of Lord Howe Island. Our staff also deliver high quality health care across a variety of community-based services ranging from pre-birth to palliative care.
The role
The role supports the Chief Executive (CE), and broader executive, through leading key priorities on behalf of the Chief Executive, ensuring collaboration between parts of the organisation to meet strategic priorities, and facilitating the smooth running of support services within the Office of the Chief Executive, including Legal, Executive Services, and Media and Communications.
The incumbent supports the CE, as required, in the management of sensitive and complex issues, which may involve coordination and preparation of advice and/or correspondence to enable effective decision making or response by the CE.
The role will require forging and sustaining effective partnerships with Executive, Directorate, Site and Service teams to achieve effective support for the Chief Executive.
The role leads the operational accountability for the delivery of high-quality services, as well as day to day management of the Office of the Chief Executive within allocated resources.
