What you'll be doing
- Getting On Track In Time (Got It!) is a school based mental health early intervention service for children in years Kindergarten – Year 2 who display emerging difficulties with social skills, emotional regulation and behavioural problems.
- The program works collaboratively with children, parents, carers and school staff. The key aims of the Got It! Program is to prevent mental illness and behavioural disorders in later life and improve educational outcomes.
- The Got It! clinician is responsible for the delivery of a range of clinical services to children and families within the FWLHD.
- This will include the facilitation of Behavioural / developmental/emotion regulation/social skills groups for children and the delivery of parenting programs to their parents/carers. The clinician will liaise with and work closely with educational staff, particularly teachers and student support staff.

How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possibly:
- To be eligible, applicants must meet one on the below criteria: a) Occupational Therapy (Lvl 1/Lvl 2): Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist b) Social Worker (Lvl 1/Lvl 2): A bachelor’s degree in social work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. c) Counsellor (Lvl 1/Lvl 2): Bachelor’s degree in counselling or a related field. d) Graduate of the Djirruwang Bachelor of Health Science program. e) Psychologist: Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. f) Registered Nurse: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated experience with Mental Health and or Child and Family services including data systems and record maintenance in line with standardised protocols including the completion of routine screening tools and outcome measures.
- Demonstrated high level leadership with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in program planning and delivering of manualised interventions and willingness to undertake further training.
- Commitment to working collaboratively and systemically with various key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to provide support and training to other professionals at individual and group levels.
- Current NSW driver's license and willingness to travel across the LHD for work purposes.
