About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager to lead Tamworth Hospital, one of the largest referral hospitals in regional NSW. This is a rare opportunity to take the helm of a high-performing facility and drive innovative, patient-centred healthcare.

You will hold full accountability for the strategic direction, operational management, and service delivery at Tamworth Hospital, ensuring safe, high-quality care for Every Patient, Every Time!

You will also lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of services to meet current and future needs of the community, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and aligning with district wide performance and reform initiatives.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

We’re looking for a transformational leader who can inspire teams, manage complexity, and drive change. You will have:

  • Proven experience in executive health service management or equivalent senior leadership roles.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams in a large health service.

  • Strategic planning and financial management expertise, with the ability to deliver against KPIs and manage large operating and capital budgets.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at local, district, and state levels.

  • A relentless focus on quality, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in health administration, in business or related degree with a health-related focus and/or relevant equivalent extensive senior management experience in line with the position.

  • Eligible to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work purposes.
