About the Role
As a Mechanical Fitter in our Engineering Department, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing essential hospital infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations across the facility. You will:
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on air conditioning units, pumping systems, and metalwork.
- Repair and maintain critical hospital equipment, including patient beds, IV poles, trolleys, and wheelchairs.
- Work as part of a skilled 51-member engineering team, collaborating with fellow tradespeople and specialists.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently in a hospital environment.
About You
We’re looking for a hands-on professional who:
- Holds a TAFE Trades Certificate in Fitting and Machining or Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering.
- Has experience in air-handling equipment, pumping systems, and machining (lathes & mill drills).
- Possesses welding skills (gas & electric).
- Can work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Is eligible to drive in NSW and willing to assist with on-call duties if required.
