An exciting opportunity exists for a Level 1/2 Exercise Physiologist with experience in providing care to adults with Congestive Cardiac Failure and a passion for patient-centred care and service improvement, to join the Sutherland Heart and Lung Team (SHALT) and the Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology Department at The Sutherland Hospital (TSH).
SHALT is a multidisciplinary team consisting of a CNS and EP, that coordinate the care of people with Congestive Cardiac Failure (CCF) and Chronic Airways Limitation (CAL) who live in the Sutherland Shire. The team provides home based support, education and individualised exercise programs for people with chronic heart and lung disease, and outpatient group exercise programs.
A current drivers licence is required for this position.
Where you'll be working
You will be working at The Sutherland Hospital and Community Health Service, a major metropolitan and teaching hospital located in the Sutherland Shire, approximately half an hour drive south of Sydney, in the suburb of Caringbah. The Sutherland Hospital provides a range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality Exercise Physiology care to patients/clients of The Sutherland Hospital consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.

Selection Criteria:
1. Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia; and demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
2. Demonstrated knowledge, skills and clinical experience in Exercise Physiology practice and the provision of services to adults with chronic disease.
3. Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
4. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence based practice, commensurate with years of experience.
5. Demonstrated commitment to the use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies.
6. Demonstrated participation or leadership in quality improvement processes and teaching, commensurate with years of experience.
7. Ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively.
8. Current drivers licence or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
