Remuneration: $114,251.00 - $134,809.00 per annum

Location: Based at Westmead however may be required to work from other WSLHD Facilities

What you'll be doing
As Executive Officer, you will play an essential role in supporting WSLHD's Executive Director Operations, ensuring effective business management in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in developing and implementing operational strategies to support WSLHD's strategic objectives

  • Provide key business support, ensuring the smooth running of executive functions

  • Manage delegated projects within the Operations portfolio

  • Maintain and enhance information systems, providing timely analysis and advice

  • Draft high-level documents, correspondence, and reports for senior management

  1. Demonstrate experience in working in a high volume and high pressure senior executive environment which demands confidentiality, flexibility and discernment.

  2. Demonstrate the capacity to manage competing priorities of a diverse, complex nature, and an ability to support, prioritise and achieve business and/or organisational goals.

  3. Demonstrate the ability to work independently, analyse and use a high level of critical thinking, exercise initiative and sound judgement in challenging situations.

  4. Demonstrate the ability to identify issues of relevance, potential risks and use of discretion in knowing when to escalate matters of importance or urgency to management, including action to support risk mitigation.

  5. Demonstrate the ability to build relationships, communicate and liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to support accurate reporting, oversight of issues and progress against actions, and the provision of written and verbal responses/ reports to senior executive management.

  6. Demonstrate high level administrative, written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to prepare and review a range of complex documentation, including but not limited to briefing notes, ministerials, parliamentary notes, executive reports, policies and procedures, frameworks, presentations and advice to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

  7. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, with the capacity to interact with others in a professional manner, including the management of conflicts and identified performance issues.

  8. Demonstrate an advanced ability in the use of a variety of computer software, including HPE Content Manager, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
