Where you'll be working
Join the Short-Term Equipment Service at Mount Druitt Hospital, where you'll play an essential role in supporting patient care beyond the hospital walls. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll help ensure patients have timely access to the equipment they need to safely recover at home, reducing avoidable hospital readmissions. You'll be part of a team that values teamwork, respect, safety and delivering person centred care to the community.

What you'll be doing
This hands-on role is responsible for coordinating, delivering and managing essential medical equipment for patients in the community and outpatient settings. You'll provide outstanding customer service while ensuring equipment is safely issued, maintained and returned, supporting positive patient outcomes.
• Deliver, collect and manage hospital equipment for patients and community clients
• Provide guidance to clients and carers on the safe use of prescribed equipment
• Maintain accurate equipment records using scanners and database systems
• Service satellite equipment stores and maintain stock levels and documentation
• Work independently while collaborating with healthcare professionals to meet patient needs

Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative as well as work as part of a team
Understanding of the management of patient complaints and patient privacy
Demonstrated communication skills including written and verbal, computer literacy including word processing, email and data entry
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills including the ability to manage client enquiries and information exchange where clients are often culturally and linguistically divers and varying disabilities
Current NSW drivers licence with the ability to drive a van
Demonstrated knowledge of WH&S and Manual Handling Techniques
