About the Opportunity
Our Same Day Day of Surgery Unit is relocating to the new John Hunter North building in September, marking an exciting stage of growth and development for the service. We are a friendly, supportive team that values collaboration, communication, and delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
The Role
We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse who enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced surgical environment with a strong focus on teamwork and patient flow.
In this role you will:
- Assist with preparing patients for a variety of surgical and medical procedures
- Support patient care from admission through to same-day discharge
- Work with a diverse range of patients in a high-turnover setting
- Collaborate closely with Registered Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Help maintain a positive, team-focused unit culture
Hours of Operation
- Our unit is open Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 8:30pm
- Weekend shifts available for acute hand surgery as required
