What you'll be doing 
As an Enrolled Nurse in Perioperative Services, you will provide individualised, high-quality nursing care to patients before, during and after surgical procedures - supporting them through critical moments in their health journey. Under the guidance of Registered Nurses, you’ll play a key role in ensuring seamless, safe, and effective care delivery.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in assessing, planning and evaluating patient care to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Provide evidence-based nursing care aligned with ANMAC competencies and WSLHD policies
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate documentation to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
  • Manage priorities and resources efficiently in a fast-paced perioperative environment

Essential Criteria:

  • Registration: Current and valid registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia 

Selection Criteria: 

  1. Current Authority to Practice as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated commitment to person centred care and NSW Health Core Values
  3. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team
  4. Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
  5. Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues
  6. Capacity to work seven (7) day rotating roster including public holidays.
  7. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload within the scope of practice of an Endor Enrolled Nurse
