About the role:
John Hunter Hospital is excited to be seeking Enrolled Nurses (EN’s) to come into their Medical Assessment Coordination Unit (MACU). The ward is designed to take acutely unwell medical patients from Emergency Department to facilitate flow from the ED and move patients onto their subspecialties within 48hrs. This role will enhance your clinical assessment skills, focusing on recognising and responding to acutely unwell patients is our core business. You would work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes, providing patient-centred care to every patient, every time. You won’t be working alone. Varied levels of experience will be supported as they step into the role – you will be provided education and supernumery shifts on commencement, as well as ongoing support from the Registered Nurses (RN’s), Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) and the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM).

- Current Authority to Practice as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA

- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
