About the Opportunity
We’re seeking passionate and motivated Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join our dynamic team, working across the Close Observation Unit and Emergency Department.
Whether you’re experienced in emergency care or coming from a strong acute background and ready to step into ED, this role offers the support and pathways to help you thrive.
You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to both adult and paediatric patients, managing a diverse range of clinical presentations in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
As the hospital undergoes a major redevelopment, this is your chance to be part of something exciting. Our Emergency Department is evolving into a state-of-the-art facility by 2027, featuring a 14-bed ED, Fast Track area, and two resuscitation bays—transforming the way care is delivered across the region.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will:
- Support the delivery of person-centred care in a busy acute setting
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team during critical and time-sensitive situations
- Provide clinical and emotional support to patients, families, and carers
- Adapt communication styles to meet the needs of diverse patients
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture
Your strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise, and calm approach under pressure will be key to your success.
What We’re Looking For
- Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed where applicable) with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
- Current EN with BLS certification
- Experience in Emergency or acute care (or readiness to transition into ED)
- Cannulation/Venepuncture skills (or willingness to develop)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- A positive, team-focused mindset with a passion for patient care
- Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster, including nights and public holidays
