As an EIR Technical Specialist in Clinical Repository Integration Services, you will help support the Enterprise Imaging Repository and the technical services that enable medical images and reports to move reliably across NSW Health. You will provide hands-on technical expertise across PACS administration, DICOM workflow, HL7 message processes, Oracle database queries, scripting for code customisation, cloud architecture and patient radiology workflows.

The role supports 18 Local Health Districts connected to the Enterprise Imaging Repository, cross-state image and report transfers, Telestroke services and a growing pipeline of integration and upgrade initiatives. You will also contribute technical consulting expertise to the Single Digital Patient Record integration program.

In this role, you will:

• Support and improve clinical imaging integrations, including PACS administration, DICOM workflow, patient radiology workflow support, incident investigation and resolution of service issues.
• Design, build, test and document integration components, scripts, code customisations, interfaces and technical changes aligned to DICOM, HL7 and service roadmaps.
• Configure application storage and support patient-to-study reconciliation processes across imaging services.
• Contribute technical expertise to major initiatives including SDPR integration, Oracle database queries and patching, cloud architecture, PACS/RIS integrations, software upgrades and service transitions.
• Work collaboratively with Local Health Districts, engineers and project teams to manage risks, dependencies, releases and service outcomes.
• Strengthen system security, resilience, stability and availability through monitoring, reporting, automation and continuous improvement.

About You

You will bring a practical, service-focused approach to complex technical environments and be comfortable balancing operational priorities with project delivery. You communicate clearly, work well with diverse stakeholders and take ownership of issues through to resolution.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Demonstrated experience in a PACS administrator or similar clinical imaging technology role, with strong understanding of patient radiology workflows, DICOM workflow and HL7 message processes.
• Demonstrated experience supporting AWS environments.
• Experience with modern ICT delivery and operational practices, including DevOps and Agile ways of working.
• Strong capability across systems integration, configuration management, testing, release and deployment, incident management and problem management.
• Experience developing or maintaining scripts, code customisations, integration software services or automation, supported by clear technical documentation.
• Ability to analyse complex technical issues across Oracle databases, cloud architecture and imaging integrations, identify risks and dependencies, and develop practical recommendations that improve service reliability and interoperability.
• A collaborative and customer-focused style, with the ability to build effective relationships and manage competing priorities.
